The technical circuit of Zandvoort waiting for Imperiale Racing and Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe 2019

11.07.2019 – After the exciting weekend in Misano, Imperiale Racing is gearing up to face one of the most technical appointments of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe 2019: the race scheduled for this coming weekend in Zandvoort (NL).

The third round of the championship will also mark the midpoint of the season and will see the Italian team fielding three Lamborghini Huracàn Super Trofeo Evo. In PRO, Vito Postiglione (ITA) and Kikko Galbiati (ITA) will exchange behind the wheel of the #44 car, while Karol Basz (PL) and Bartosz Paziewski (PL) will share driving duties on the #8 car. In LC Hans Fabri (NL) will compete on the #88 car in his home race.

Compared to the two previous races, the sporting challenge will be fought on a more technical circuit in Zandvoort, one where driving skills will make the difference. Back under the spotlight internationally, after the confirmation that this circuit will host the 2020 Formula 1 Grand Prix, the racetrack located on the coast west of Amsterdam has the charm of classic circuits. Its 4.307 meters start with the start/finish straight and the Tarzan corner that has an 18 degrees banking. The first sector is quite driven and the rhythm increases after the Hugenholzbocht with several short straights and corners until the braking at the Audi S. Kumhobocht and Arie Luyendijkbocht, the right-hander that leads back on to the main straight.

After the overnight round in Misano, the program will be back to its usual timing. Two free practice sessions on Friday will be at 11:40 and 16:20 (GMT +2). Drivers will challenge each other for the pole position on Saturday in two 20-minute sessions starting at 11:30, while race one will be at 16:05 and race two will follow on Sunday at 10:05.

The website racing.imperialegroup.it will provide links to the streaming of the two challenges, while the social channels @imperialeracing will follow the on-track action during all the sessions.

Luca Del Grosso (Imperiale Racing, Team Manager):
“We have an exciting challenge ahead. We have never raced in Zandvoort as most probably several of our rivals, which envisages for an interesting battle. The circuit is quite technical with some up and down-hills and several direction changes that will require reactive and precise cars. Qualifying will be particularly important and therefore we will work to allow our Lamborghini Huracàn Super Trofeo Evo to be quick on the single lap and on the race pace”.
